The complete renovation and stabilization of an historic commercial building with significant import in Denver History. Adaptation for new use was required throughout the building. Highly detailed technical restoration was required to bring this treasure back to its former glory, all within market rate commercial investment economic parameters.

A documentary approach and analysis grounded the process of design and set the tone for the development of the exterior and interior spaces. A stabilization and restoration strategy was implemented for the majority of the structure and innovate intervention was performed where necessary to respond to use and budget requirements.

Careful documentation and collaboration with the client on programming issues, along with an iterative design process allowed this building to become a premier and fully updated contemporary office and retail environment.

This project was honored with "Best Renovation of an Historic Building" in Denver by the Preservation group Historic Denver in October, 2006.
