The design concept for the corporate offices for this Denver based gold-mining company was developed around an image of the gold mine. The space is visually "compressed" obtained through the layering of the ceiling planes and vertical "ribs" of "mine" shoring that organizes the space. The floor is finished in a cleft face stone set in a random pattern contrasting against the smooth painted plaster ceiling and a gold leaf "vein of gold" that runs the length of the space. The space is rendered as a neutral enclosure in gray's and white's accented with red glass (a result of adding gold in the manufacturing process) and figured cherry wood detail.
