The bridge structure is an asymmetrical masted cable stayed span
crossing over an existing railroad easement envelope 25 feet above
street level. The composition of the mast, deck and the structural
cable system creates a visual/spatial foil within the urban context.
The intent is to create a structure of singular dynamic quality, an
urban landmark providing focus and identity to this new extension
of the 16th Street pedestrian mall. Cost: Estimated $6.0 M. |
